I didn't realize how long it has been since I posted!! WOW I guess I was busier than I thought. I have been doing lots of creating, just not a lot of posting.

Well time to start sharing again!! Here is a cute little card I made for a Quinceñera using the new Kristy Dailey color stamps, they are AWESOME for making quick projects that look like they took a lot of work! I love that she has this little flower girl with different hair color so you can use it to fit the occasion.

I made this card for my friend Abby's new challenge, which involves using a monochromatic scheme. I also used her fabulous Dilo en Espanol stamps which have the most perfect sentiments for all my Spanish speaking card needs!! For my project I created a monochrome card with an cute little flower that my buddy Celeste so kindly made for me. I used a black and white image for the skeleton and used RECOLLECTIONS elegance pack, which has some really cute cream and black paper, perfect to add an elegant look to any project.

To get the paper to match perfectly I used the reverse to print the image on and as the mat for the skull. I inked the edges with black Tim holtz ink and added black velvet accents and a cute little ribbon I had.

This card is in honor of my little Sister Jenny:

She left us 8 years ago at the tender age of 17, but to me it seems like yesterday that we were hanging out and enjoying life together. Although she is in our thoughts daily, on Dia De Los Muertos we like to visit her grave, decorated it and remember her vibrant smile and carefree spirit and think that one day we will be able to party in heaven with her. Love you and miss you tons Sisi!

El Cucuy AKA Boogie Man Blog Hop

Thanks to my buddy Yolanda for inviting me to another wonderful hop. In the spirit of Halloween we are making cards to remind us of EL CUCUY this is the boogie man for some of the latin american cultures.

I wanted to do something scary but also cute, and what a better way to show scary cute than using a cute Catrina inspired card. I saw this graphic in one of my cousins profile pictures and I just knew I wanted to make it into a card or vinyl cutting or something it was just TOO CUTE. So here it is, I made it into an SVG and made a cute little card. Death is not only scary but elegant in Mexican traditions, and is often represented as LA CATRINA which is a well dressed skeleton that is very popular during this time of year.

For my Katrina Card I kept it simple black and white cardstock with dark pink/red for the flower and accents. I used black glitter for the nose and curled up the eye lashes.

Name Collage: Alyssa Jade

I have been SUPER busy at work, so I have not had much time to play with my bugs. But I had been working on a couple of gifts for several babies that coming in the next few months. This was was overdue as I was supposed to gift it as a shower present, but since it took me longer than expected it turned out to be a welcome baby present LOL.

This was made for my niece, and was created using the DCWV animal crackers paper pack and the Verana Alpha from Lettering Delights. I really like the look of this alphabet and have used it quite a bit. I like the nice thick font and the really cute flower/vines that come with the Alpha. The little monkey is my own creation, I made it using the pictures from the nursery decor that she is using:

Thanks to Amy the "Collage Queen" for inspiring me, these name collages are a humble attempt to scraplift some of her creations. I am getting better at these, but she is the QUEEN!

Dilo En Español! ~ Releases Today

Today is a wonderful day for my dear Friend Abby as today is the official release of her new stamp sets

D I L O E N E S P A ñ O L

I was honored to be asked to help pass the word on these wonderful new stamps which are completely in Spanish, ideal for those of us that like to share our cards with our Spanish speaking family and friends. When she first told me about her idea I was ecstatic to hear that there would be such a product, the Spanish speaking population is HUGE and there is hardly any stamps that cater exclusively to the Spanish speaking market. I am very thankful that I was able to get a sneak peek of her 3 first new sets Suspirando con Tina (looove the title), Que Siga la fiesta and Queremos Pastel.

For my first card I used the "Que Siga la fiesta" set which has stamps for all major holidays and events (fiestas). For my first card I used the FELIZ DIA stamp combined with DE LAS BRUJAS which translates to Happy Witch's Day (Halloween).

For my card I used AC card stock in matching Halloween colors. I made a tent card, which is hard to appreciate in the picture, but this card opens up and the the cute little witch dangles from the middle of the card. Very cute! The little witch was from a digital set from an Argentinian artist, but she no longer has a website, so I can't give her credit :( because her link is no longer working and I don't know her name ). But is cute anyway so THANK U my Argentinian friend! I accented the card with yummy twine from The Twinnery. Which Abby also sells, so check out her store. And the stamps are so cute that I would not stop at one..... I saw this Freebie over at Peggy Loves Vintage Blog and I knew that I wanted to make a Thanksgiving card...to early you say... not at all! Fall and Halloween colors are interchangeable so since I already had my orange paper out .......here is what I made:

Here I used the FELIZ DIA stamp again and combined it with DE ACCION DE GRACIAS (Thanksgiving). The vintage image is just so cute it does not need much to make it stand out. I again used my fabulous TWINE and accented it with a cute little leaf brad. Hope you all liked what I made and come back later this week as I am already working on some other cards in ESPAñOL of course.

Someone over at SVGcuts was looking for a Barney SVG. I looked around and did not find any detailed Barneys. As much as I was traumatized by this big purple fuzz ball, it was nice to make it for someone else and help them out. So here you go Charlee hope you can use.

For my project I created a card using the Haunted Hemlock Cards from SVG Cuts :

For this cards I used the RAVENHEAD MANOR collection from recollections. I really liked the textures and colors on that set. The best part of this wonderful card is that Mary from SVGCuts gives you all the cuts you need to make it. All you need to do is choose some pretty paper and VOILA you got yourself some darling cards.

As a matter of fact they are soo easy to put together that my nieces saw me working on this card and they wanted to jump right in. Since I had my cricut out and all the cuts already laid out I cut some extra pieces so they each could make their own version and this is what they came up with:

They are only 8, 10 and 11 years old so that is why all of the glitter! LOL But I think they did a great job and their mom will be totally thrilled that I have now created 3 little more papercrafters ha ha

Purple Chilli Peppers... and a card to match

Those of you that know me, know that I am a fan of all things PURPLE.. I loooove purple specially the darker tones. One of my co-workers just bought me a purple pepper plant... (now say that 5 times!). They are this beautiful eggplant purple that is just soo cute. And since I had just happened to finish a purple card I used them as my back drop for it. Had you ever seen such a thing? I am going to try and make some pretty purple salsa and try out the heat on these babies.

Celebremos! A Bday Card for my Tio

I finally broke out my SEW EASY pack that I bought a few months ago. I got a really good deal on a set that included the piercer, 6 piercing heads with different designs and 4 packages of different colored floss. It was a great deal, but I was a little intimidated by it. You see I am not very good a sewing - not very good is an understatement - so I was afraid my attempt to make something with a needle and thread would result in some kinda injury to me LOL But this little tool is AWESOME I started with the most complicated of all patternds, followed the instructions and I think I did a GREAT job if I do say so myself, not too shaby for my first time sewing on paper.... well pretty much sewing anything for that matter ha ha

I am not sure what the pattern is called, but its very cute and I used a glimmery blue floss that came with the set. This card is for my uncle who comes every year from Mexico to visit and we always have a great time hanging out with his family they are so welcoming and they have such GREAT food.

So here is my card and my masterpiece. I again used the freebie printable from Mouse, Paper, Lovely and the die cut is from one of my swaps that I did so I am not sure what cartridge is from.. but I am sure is from a cartridge and not an SVG. The sentiment is from MyPinkstampters Spanish set (love it!). The little charm is also from a swap I was in. Seeee how good I am trying to use all my stash ..... ha ha Enjoy!

For my project I made a LO using SVGcuts recent Tropical Treasures release. You can scroll down this post and see a prior post with a picture of all the cute little creatures in this collection. For the LO I used Imaginiscense SPLASH DANCE COLLECTION and AC cardstock for the solid colors. All Die cuts are from SVGcuts except for the title which was a freebie I found from Annel's Blog .

This LO is a gift I did for my friend Teresa who I have recently found. We used to be neighbors years ago and we lost touch. Thanks to the internet (and some major stalking) I was able to find her and we re-united last October at her home in UT. We were supposed to go to Hawaii together but my family was not able to make it. When she went she kept saying how nice and HOT it was in Hawaii while back at home in UT they were having a blizzard!!! So this is for Teresa one of the sweetest people I now and love so she can remember the STEAMING HOT vacation in Hawaii.

Disney Album and Frebbie

So I am finally starting to work on our Disney scrapbook, this is from our February trip! I know that doesn't sound that long ago, but I know if I don't do it soon it will join my box of "to do" pages that get left behind. As I am sorting the pics and doing the organizational part of it I found some really great sites with AWESOME disney SVGs and since I do not own any of the disney cartridges I am resorting to all SVGs for this album.

Here is a file I did for my our pictures from the Astro Balsters Ride:

We went on that ride like 5 times, partly because the line was always less than 10 min but mostly because my son and my newphew LOVED the ride. I was looking around for SVG for this ride but no one seem to have this. I did find BUZZ, the ALIENS and ZURG that will go with this page, but created this logo from this picture I found from the ride:

Summer Themed ATC

Next week I am part of the THAT'S HOT blog hop hosted by Yolie and although I have my prject ready I have to wait until next week for the big reveal sooooo... In the mean time to get you in the spirit of Summer (just in case this heat isn't) here are some pics of my summer theme ATCs that I made for a swap over at SVG Cuts blog. We are in our 4th ATC swap and they are so much FUN!!

Aaaand since we are in the SUMMER theme, Abby from Scrapbookaholic By Abby has a challenge over at her blog and this little ATC fits right into her: Challenge #10: Anything Summer!~

For this theme I chose the Tropical Friends Collection from SVG Cuts it has so many cute little sea critters that I did not know which one to pick! At the end I decided for this cutie:

I tried to change up the face a bit with my different Peachy Keen face stamps which I LOOOVE they give so much character to your die cuts. I also liked how the simple face tuned out too. I just wanted to give each of them their own little face. Hope all my fellow swappers like their ATC.... Hernandez Family Collage

I just finished a Family Collage for my niece who got married last October. I wanted to do this for her wedding gift but did not have the time. We are all meeting in Lake Tahoe next week so I wanted to have it ready for her by then. This collage is inspired by Collage Queen AMY she is an expert at making FABULOUS collages check her blog out for some awe inspiring collages.

The deets: For the papers I used BoBunny's Olivia papers which are so bold and have really nice details. For solids I used AC cardstock.

The font is a Fabulous font that I just LOOOVEEE is the same one I used for the Garden scrap swap below. Check out Lettering Delights Verana Alphabet, you can use the flowery vines as beautiful accents.

The last photo is the framed finished piece. Unfortunately it looks dark, I couldn't get a good picture because of all the reflections. Hope she likes it.

Scrap Swap #1 - SVGcuts

I have done many swaps but this is the first SCRAP AWAP that I have done of this kind. I was good to do a mix of items. For infomration see SVGcuts scrap swap #1 I am sure there will be another one coming soon. The very talented Mary Rudakas was my partner in this swap, I was a bit nervous that the Queen of svg cuts was going to get my work, so I did my best and came up with this combination for her. She requested a set for a garden theme page.

The color scheme for the set was inspired by the pretty ribbon I found. I think the colors are very bright and go perfect with the garden theme. The Garden title was made using the Verana Alpha from Lettering Delights . I used left over vines with flowerrs for a nice touch on the fence. Here is a close-up of the ribbon so you can see the pretty combination and the details of the vines in the Verana Alphabet.

Directions to make this super CUTE and easy to make 3d watering can are HERE and you can see soo many different cute samples. I made mine to matcht the color scheme of the whole I sent to Mary. The flower is made by using scalloped circles, sprayed them with glimmer mist and bunched them up. Once dried I fluffed them up into a carnation looking flower for a wonderful and sparkly accent.

I am glad Mary liked her Srap can't wait to see mine.

CR84FUN Color Challenge

This week I was looking around for a challenge to inspire me and I stumbled upon a great challenge blog called CR84FN where they have weekly challenges and lots of wonderful inspiration. This week challenge is a color challenge based on the following pallette:

This combination is so nice and bright I just had to play along. And since I just got SVGcuts wonderful set Kate's Silhouettes I just had to try it out. This is what I came up with:

It's a simple yet elegant and bright card that can be used for any occasion. I like to leave them blank so that when I need a card I can pull from my stash and personalize it. Thanks for stopping by and hope you liked my take on the challenge.

Patriotic ATC

Here is my latest ATC, I used Treasure Box Designs liberty bear which is such a CUTIE!! If you like cute stuff, TBD has some really cute designs. I didn't have to use too many embellishments here since the bear itself is such a cute little center piece. I did ~~accent~~ cover it with stickles... everything looks better with glitter!

Dia de los Muertos ATC Swap

Here is my set of Dia de los Muerto ATCs. This was another swap-bot swap that I joined. For this one I have 2 different partners so I figured I make 2 different ATCs. I printed images from the internet and then "colored" them with my stickles to give them a shiny glittery look and just added accents with some very yummy Twine from The Twinery... so festive for skulls!

BEE-u-tiful ATC

I am getting addicted to making and receiving ATCs. I can't get enough of these little cutties. I used the printout freebie from Mouse, paper, lovely but instead of making the card, I used all the elements for my cute little ATC. The Bee is from create a critter - I don't remember the size I used, but I think it was 2". I used black sticles on the antenea, wings and stinger to make it pop.And used pop dots on the bee.

The stamp is from My Pink Stamper's punnylicious set. This one was headed to Modesto for swap I was in on the Swapbot website. I just started using this site and I think I like it. I mostly swap ATCs but its an easy way to find swappers and you only sign up for the ones that interest you.

Here are some adorable ATCs that I received as part of the SVGcuts ATC swap, they are soo cute. now I only need to get something were I can display all my little pieces of art.

I also made some ATC with a DIA DE MUERTOS theme, I already finished them and shipped them, but I make extras, so I need to take pics to post, they also came out very cute. My next swap themes are: Silhoutte and Patriotic. I will be working on those this weekend so I should have some more ATCs postings coming up.

Glitter Explosion Blog Hop

Thank you to Yolie for inviting me to participate in today's blog hop. I am joined by a whole line up of wonderful crafty people that will amaze you with their creations. Today is a special day for me because its MY BIRTHDAY!!! So I was even more exciting to do this hop.

What better to celebrate than a fun birthday card. Here is what I came up with:

I literally created a GLITTER EXPLOSION for the bacground of this fabulous stamp. I am not very good at coloring images, so for a while I stayed away from stamps, I tried and tried but my coloring looked like it was done by a 5 year old. My friend CELY (who is just AMAZING with copics) pointed me to Dustin Pike's blog who has beautifully colored digital stamps. Now I can make fabulous looking cards that look like I colored them, but in reality is all the great work of Dustin. Since it's also mostly green I am also entering it in his current challenge SHADES OF GREEN check it out on his blog.

Card Details: I used Bazzil texture cardstock for the background, this is a very shinny and sparkly paper that is a little hard to appreciate on the photo, but it's totally SHINY!. It was embossed using the happy bday folder. The above stamp is a past freebie from Dustin's site, I printed it twice and cut only the dragon and raised it using pop dots, love those little dots!! It's is also hard to tell but I just glitter the heck out of that cute little dragon, there is glitter on his belly, his horns, his paws, the cake and all over the ballons and presents. The background looked a little too simple so I used my markers and just dotted it and then dotted it again with stickles.... then I just dabbed each of the stickle dots to create the EXPLOSION effect neat ha!! I did more stickle dots on the top and bottom and stickled the word birthday (can you tell I really like stickles!!) I then topped it off with some cute little buttons.

ATC Swap #3: Friendship

I have been Making ATC for the swaps over at the SVGcuts Forum and they are so much fun, I love making them and receiving them. For this months swap the theme was flowers. I made mine using Cherry Blossoms Mini SVG Collection and I think they came out VERY sweet. I made the SVG for the FRIENSHIP symbol and used some cherry blossom ribbon I had and used pop dots for the flowers and symbol. Can't wait to see what they other ladies made.

Although this is not a big holiday in Mexico as you might have read from the other blogs, this is an opportunity for those of us with Mexican roots to pay homage to our heritage and celebrate our Mexican background.

For my project I did a layout of our pics from Mexico, my husband and I got married on the beach in Manzanillo, Mexico and then honeymoon by traveling around central Mexico, it was a great trip and my very first time in Mexico city.

For my LO I used solid AC Cardstock and printed paper from the DEAR LIZZY collection - which is a christmas themed collection but I loved how the banners and colors worked with my celebratory LO.

Invites - all 200 done

I know I had talked A LOT about these invites and when they were done, I too was done. Now that I have taken a break from them I can come back and like them again LOL

These invites were made for my Niece's QUINCEANERA which is the Mexican equivalent of a sweet 16. She had a wonderful marsquerade party for her 15th bday and her colors were purple, lavander and lime green When I first heard of the colors I was like WHAT! but when I did the invites realize the colors go well together. Then I saw her on her beautiful dress and she look GORGEOUS!

Here are some pictures of the invites and the process of making them. My sister, mom, husband and even random visitors (ha ha) helped out with the invites. At the end they turned out great and best of all is that she LOVED them.

I was able to find VERY GOOD QUALITY paper at the Paper Mill Store they have really good prices and great selection. It's was the best site I could find if you want to make A LOT of same cards/invites. I used Dark Purple Cardstock for the base of the invite and lined the inside with Candy Apple Green translucent vellum which I printed the invitation information. The card based was embossed using my cuttle bug and then embellished with lavander and green feathers and dots of green stickles. Originally I was using Irock jewels for the embellishment but after it took me like 10 min to do just one, I went the easy route and used stickles. It still looked great. I made the centerflowers using the same vellum as the insert. Finally I tied purple, green and lavander ribbons to each of the sides and VOILA! It only took us about 4 weeks to get all 200 done, but I am very pleased with the results.

I was going to wait another type of cutter that will work with my SCAL, but I figured that Iwill keep my old expression to do all my SCAL work and use my shiny new buggy for all my cricut stuff. Ok so this is not craft related, but I am VERY excited about it. After much encouragemnet and trying to become more active (and loose the extra pounds along the way) I have signed up for my firs HALF marathon. I know it's not a full one, but hey I want to set up a realistic goal so half a marathon with 6 months to train should be very doable and get me (lazy butt) off the couch.

I am on my 3rd week of trainning and have gone from a couch potato to running 3-4 times a week. I still cannot do a full run on my 2mile intro run, but I have have improved my running time by 3 minutes in just 3 weeks!! (considering my first run was more of a 2 mile walk ha ha). The only bad thing here is that this marathon is done by random drawing. You register between today and April 22. They do a random drawing by the end of the month to choose the participants. So I will keep running and pretend I am IN but I should know for sure by the end of the month.

The motto is I RUN TO BE ... (fill in the blank)... what would you run for?

Easter ATCs

I started doing these ATCs for swaps, and fell in love with them. They are not very big at only 2.5 x 3.5 but they are such a great little space for letting your creativity loose. I made 5 of these using SVGcuts SPRING BUNNIES they are all so cute, it was hard to decide which one to use. Enjoy!

My son loves the little einsteins cartoons and books, so I was going to make a LO using them, but could not find the characters in SVG so thanks to my wonderful (and still working ) SCAL I created my own. I did all 4 characters, but have not cut them yet since I just finished them earlier today.

Dear PC: I am not cheating on you, I love PC and Love SCAL!

Ever since I laid my eyes on the expression I wanted it! I did not know how to use, but I knew it was something I really wanted. I bought the expression at least a dozen cartridges and my love affair with the CRICUT took off. Shortly after buying my cricut I found out about a 3rd party software (SCAL) that allows you to create your own designs for the cricut. Now I am no artist here, but I thought this product was a great compliment to my bug. I purchase the product, but that never stop me from buying cartridges or even joining the circle. Even with this product in my repertoire, I still continue to be a loyal customer and purchased another cricut, a cuttlebug, gypsy, dozens of other cartridges, your story and tons of consumables. Why do I bother with this letter you may ask? Because it bothers me that PC thinks that just because there is a product out there that works with their machines, that this is somehow going to drive their profit away. To me this software is a great compliment to an already outstanding product, it doesn’t take away from it, it enhances it! I paid good money for my bugs and I don’t see why I can’t purchase software that adds to the possibilities. Isn’t this was crafting is all about? About releasing your creativity to the max!

My intent is not to condemn, but rather to share my love for PC and SCAL which is also a great product, now if we could all just get along, I could get back to crafting and not worry about if my cricut is going to work tomorrow because someone at PC doesn’t like 3rd party software.

I have not posted in like .... forever! I know soooorry. It's not like I have not been making stuff, as a matter of fact I have been making tons of stuff, but mainly working on 200 yup you read right TWO HUNDRED invites for my niece's Quinceanera. I have lots of pics to share on those and even the file for the invite. But in the mean time here is a HECHO EN MEXICO svg that someone requested. I have been actually busy creating stuff, but since I don't have a camera I haven't been posting as much. I can only take pics with my phone and they are pretty bad specially indoors. New year, new projects and lost of wonderful scrapping plans for the new year. I got lots of new goodies from friends and Family and can't wait to try them out. Speaking of new things... I am not sure how long this has been up but I just found wordle a great FREE site where you can creat word art for FREE... did I mention FREE...gotta love all the freebies in cyber space. This one is pretty simple to use (if I can use it you can too ha ha). You think of a word or random words and enter them into the system and it comes out in different variations and colors, totally AWESOME! I love the Serenity prayer so this was my first try, after many many different confugurations I actually figured out that the more a word repeats the bigger it will be compared to the other words soooo in this example I wanted SERENITY to be the biggest to I typed it like 8 times, then I did the same with the others and VOILA!! And you also get to play around with the color palette and adjust that too. This would be great for a card of backgroud print...... give it a try its fun and FREE!! enjoy your day.

La Guadalupana ~ Virgen Mary of Guadalupe

Today is the day of La Virgen de Guadalupe, like every year we wake up really early and go to church to sing Las Mananitas and other songs to celebrate her day. I have always admired the beautiful imprint of our lady of Guadalupe, even if you don't believe it's a miracle, it's still a beautiful piece of art - heavenly art if you ask me - I am not good at drawing so I found a very pretty cartoon version and made an SVG out of it. I am going to try and cut it later on today. It's cut as a coloring page and a lot of the details (like the stars and swirls were deleted to simplify) you can add those with embossing, or by drawing them in. Click HERE to download the SVG.

Pretty Purple Flower Card

Hello my friends! Its been a while since I posted, but that has not stopped me from creating, I just have been sharing as much. Well since its the season for giving and sharing I will share some of my projects I have done.

This one is a nativity set from Myscrapchick it is so cute and so easy to do. Here is my take on it. I used AC paper for all my cuts. lots of inking on the wood, windows and figures. An 3d dots to make it POP. Check out my scrap chick's nativity's sets she has 2 others.

Today I came home to find this wonderful pakcage on my mailbox:

This package is from Lisa (kittyshoes) from the C ricutMessageBoard. For her 1 year anniversary of doing the happy mail swap she decided to send 24 RAKs to people from the MB. Lisa is known in this swap for her beautifully decorated boxes, as you can see above she does beautiful works of art, and I am very GRATEFUL that she chose to send one to me. Not only did she send all these wonderful goodies to everyone but she took the time to personalize them (see charm above) isn't she wonderful!!!

This box just made my day today and I hope I can pass this RAK to someone else. Thank you LISA this was a wonderful box, I am very grateful for your generosity!!!!!!

Since I already had a few extras of these adorable little baby birds, I decided to use them for my baby cards swaps. On this swap I have to do 5 cards of each theme: baby, thank you, bday and kids bday. So far I am done with this one and I have two more sets ready to assemble. I really like how this one turned out. I sued my Irock for the little corner stones.

Altered ATG & Cuttlebug

Welll I took the plunge! With the help of my handy darling husband who helped with the painting I was able to finish altering my ATG and cuttlebug. I so want to paint my cricut too, but I might just wait a little for that one. I am very happy with they way these 2 turned out. Thanks to Cheryl for helping out with the inspiration and directions.

The secong picture shows the back of the ATG which I am planning on using vinyl to label that side along with the cuttlebug, but I have to wait for the white vinyl to come it to completely finish it.

Gifts for Ana - Wordbook, Name Collage and card

I have been working on this gift since last week. Today I decided to just go for it and finish it all so I can send it out tomorrow. The first part of the gift is a name collage which was inspired by none other than the Collage Queen Amy ! She does such a wonderful job with these name and invitation collages that you can't help but be inspired. Here is my humble rendition of the name collage:

I also did a BABY word book to match the name collage. This is my not my first try at a word book, but is my first baby book. Both projects used the MME - Penny Lane paper pack which is full of bright and yummy paper. The color scheme of the pack is pink, green, purple and blue. For my projects I focused on pink as the primary color and purple and green as the accents. Here are a few pics of the word book:

I already had showed the matching card I made so I will not go into details about the card. This was a lot of work, but it came out very nice. Can't wait to send it out and surprise the mother to be!! Hope you like it ANA!!

Baby Card and Word Book

Here is my first card using SVG Cuts Premium Pop-up digicart - which is FABULOUS by the way -.

I did this to match a baby word book I am doing for a friend.

Details: Paper: My minds Eye- penny lane, SVGcuts: Mary's new pop up cards and New arrival cartridge for the front. Peachy Keen Stamps everyday faces for the sweet little baby face. Inside sentiment was printed directly from my printer (finally figured it out). Misc: bling and sparklies.

I will post the wordbook one is completed, It still needs embellishments.

ATC Swap - Butterly

I am participating at my first ever ATC swap and had to create 12 of these. It was fun making and they turned out better than I expected. They will mail flat but the recipient can perk up the wings giving it a 3d effect. These cards were created using the butterly card SVG from MyScrapChick she has lots of cute SVGs and wonderful freebies.

Scallop Border for Jessica's Class

I am taking Jessica Sprague's class "Computer Tricks for CArds". Its a free class that teaches you how to use printed papers to do hybrid type cards. We are on day 3 and so far we have created some FABULOUS cards, simple yet pretty! For day two we needed a scallop punch, but being that I prefer to use my cricut I created a file using SCAL2 to make it easy.

This is specifically sized for the card we are making, but if anyone can use you are welcomed to it!

I am a VERY HUGE fan of soccer. That is my second love after scrapbooking LOL. My dad was a soccer coach, so I practically grew up in a soccer field rooting for my dad's team. Now I love to watch soccer and nothing more exciting than the world cup - the one and only TRUE world sport. My favorites USA of course and Mexico.

As the world cup head towards the end of the 1st round Mexico is looking pretty good with 4 points and 2nd place in its group. Uruguay will be a strong opponent but if they keep up their concentration should be able to get out of the first round as leaders. Tomorrow USA game, hopefully they will also step it up and BEAT Slovakia, need the win to pass to 2nd round. GO USA!!

Easter Treats

I was soo excited with my wedding stuff that I almost forgot to post my cute little Easter Treats. I bought this kits at Oriental Trading and had my nieces make them and fill them with candy to pass out for the kids. Theyh got all into them and even starting adding bows and glitter. Here is them putting them together. And one of my finished product. Hope everyone had a great easter weekend.

Wedding Invite

Here is my wedding invite that I just did. Simple and elegant. I did two different types as I got tired of embossing all the sides LOL. I actually really liked the simpler version better. But they both are beautiful, at least to me! I was inspired by Weddings with the Cricut sample that Emily created, but since she was not able to share the file I followed her instructions and made my own - it was pretty easy. They are featuring us this week on their blog, Yeah!! so check us out and leave some comments.

Back from SWARM!!

I had an awesome time this weekend at my very 1st SWARM. I got to meet a lot of creative and talented ladies and even got some scrapbooking done LOL.

Part of my day was dedicated to finishing my cards for the March Card Swap over at the SVGcuts forum. I also did three 2-page layouts for my sons album. Over I felt I got a lot done and had LOADS of fun while doing it.

Looking forward to the next SWARM in October ... the theme: Think Pink!
